10 Months Old!

I can not believe how old my baby is getting- he is only two months short of being a one year old! I remember so well this time last year when I was huge and pregnant with him and going to clinicals ALL the time! I'm so glad we have Peyton and I thank Heavenly Father for him every day. He brings so much joy and happiness to our lives as we watch him learn and grow and change.

Peyton is such a sweet little boy. He almost never cries, he sleeps really well and eats really well. He travels in the car well, he loves to go on walks in his stroller and pretty much enjoys whatever is going on in life. I could take an example from that and work on being more content myself! His favorite activity is to hold onto your hands and walk all around the house. He still doesn't crawl and has absolutely zero interest in learning to, although he can scoot on his bottom lightening fast from one place to the other. He has started feeding himself snacks like crackers, bread, etc. which is really hard for me because he makes a big mess of himself and everything he touches! Peyton is also toying with meaningful communication which is really exciting. We are working on waving "bye bye" (SO cute!) and saying "mama," "dada," "baba," etc. and putting the words with faces/objects. He is quite the jabberer and makes a lot of noise, especially when he thinks you aren't listening. Naps and sleeping have really stabilized a ton and Peyton is very predictable which is really nice for me. He sleeps 12 hours at night and takes two good 1-2 hour naps during the day. It's great because he is a little more flexible now than he used to be- meaning he no longer explodes when we are 30 minutes late for one of his naps. It makes outtings a lot easier and more enjoyable!

We also had an awesome changing table and glider/ottoman given to us, so now we officially have one room in our house finished. The nursery! I love it. We had a lot of fun rearranging the furniture in there to make it look just right.
