Growing Up

It seems like Peyton is changing so much every day, I just can't believe it! The past few weeks his personality has really started to shine forth. Peyton has always been a pretty serious little boy- he had an absolute scowl on his face when he was born (I thought it was darling, of course), he didn't smile at all until he was 2 months old, and did't give one little giggle until he was 5 months old. It has always been really difficult to get him to laugh or even smile big. I have never been worried about it because I think it's in his genes- I've been accused of being too serious a number of times. He isn't ornery at all, he's very content. Just serious. Until now! The last week or so he has gotten so crazy! All you have to do is look at him and he shrieks and giggles. He is getting really expressive with his vocalizations and uses all of his mono-syllable "words" in various tones and intensities, pretty much non-stop throughout the day. I'm left wondering who this little boy is? Where is my solemn baby? Not that I'm complaining. It's just so interesting that it has taken him this long to get out of his shell. I'm sure enjoying his light-hearted babbling!

Sounds so cute...his pictures show how much he is changing. This is such a growing time for a baby his age. He will soon be walking so hope you are getting some video of how he scoots at this age.
I wish I had more pictures of you all as babies doing all those early things. They are so special since they happen just once
